Alright, we finally figured out where that professor went, the question is, was he always part of Kara? Still have question of who specifically targeted Konoha's research guy.
Outers "just following orders" could be a good way for those two infiltrators to get in with a transformation jutsu or something.

Deepa is very confusing, why did he kill those in the shop, then not kill anyone else? Why did he also abandon the mission?
My current guesses are:
1. he's just mental and randomly decides to kill people
2. he has similar base to humanoid akuta to might have gone to a default mode to return to base when out of juice.
3. based on the hand smoking, and taking Shinki's strike, I'm guessing his power is scientific ninja tool based integrated into his body. He was out of ammo!

With what we saw, I think Deepa is only temporarily a major threat and eventually is harmless. During the time he is major threat, only the best of best likely can stop him.
